Database of South Asia – Air Pollution and Health (DoSAAH)

This interactive map shows the geographic distribution of published studies on air pollution and health in South Asia. This database is dedicated to peer-reviewed research and gray literature focused on the science of air pollution and its impacts on human health across South Asian countries. It includes studies in epidemiology, exposure assessment, health impact assessment, air quality monitoring, and editorials and commentaries, among other relevant categories. For more information on the purpose and creation of the database, please refer to this blog.

Users can interact with the map to download curated lists of documents. In addition to geographic filtering, the literature database offers search capabilities by date, study type, and health outcomes. Currently, the database covers studies from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, with plans to include Bhutan and Maldives in future. The bibliography will be routinely updated to ensure it reflects the most up to date research in the field.

Please note the boundaries, names and designations used on this map do not imply official endorsement or acceptance. Disputed boundaries are marked by dashed lines.
