Apply for the 2025 Jane Warren Award
What is the Jane Warren Award?
Offered to 6 exemplary students in the environmental health field, the prestigious Jane Warren Award funds recipients to present their research as part of HEI’s Annual Conference. This award is named in remembrance of Dr. Jane Warren, who joined HEI in the 1980s and led HEI’s scientific activities as Director of Science from 1999 until her retirement in 2008.
What does the award offer?
As in previous years, the Jane Warren Award will be offered to 3 local researchers and 3 researchers based anywhere in the United States. HEI will cover conference registration and meals for all awardees plus travel and hotel costs for non-local applicants. Please note if you apply as a local candidate, travel expenses and accommodations will not be covered by HEI.
Winners will present their work in a lightning talk and poster session during the conference. Awardees will be selected on a competitive basis, upon review of the application and proposed abstract (see below).
The slides from the 2024 cohort can be found here. The short lighting talks can also be found on HEI’s YouTube here.
