Ambient PM Health Effects Research Funding Opportunity
HEI is pleased to inform you of a new funding opportunity RFA 24-2: Insights into the Health Effects of Exposure to Low Concentrations of Particulate Matter.
The RFA will focus on studies that can help to distinguish between potential sources of heterogeneity or to clarify the biological plausibility of PM health effects at low levels of ambient exposure. The research, aligned with HEI's 2020-2025 Strategic Research Plan, should focus on innovative approaches in toxicology, clinical, or epidemiological studies. Proposed studies must clearly articulate the relevance of the research to the human health effects of PM in the United States. HEI plans to fund up to 3 studies with a $2.5 million budget. Please note, the deadline for preliminary applications is November 4, 2024.
IMPORTANT: Investigators do not need to be U.S. citizens but must have access to U.S. data.
Interested in applying? Join our webinar on October 1, 2024 at 11am (EDT). We will help guide you through the application process and answer any related questions. Participation in the webinar is not a requirement to apply to the RFA. A summary of the webinar will be made available afterwards.
