We’re pleased to share with you the Health Effects Institute’s 2022 Annual Report: Insights that Endure: Investing in Science for Lasting Impact.
This year’s report highlights that during the past year HEI has made significant progress on the goals of its Strategic Plan for 2020–2025 by continuing to invest in high-quality, independent science with long term impact. The report summarizes our achievements and ongoing momentum in:
Understanding the effects of remaining exposures from vehicle traffic, even as much progress has been made
Answering policy-critical questions about the lowest levels at which air pollution might affect health
Convening stakeholders with diverse viewpoints to address challenges collaboratively and, with our expanded Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative, ensuring that HEI is an open and welcoming place for people from a range of communities, experiences, and backgrounds
Expanding our Global Health initiatives to inform critical decisions affecting people’s lives in all corners of the world
Making new strides with HEI Energy’s separately funded research program, including the launch of five studies across the United States, to inform decisions as the world navigates an energy transition that is reshaping many aspects of our lives.
