(Hybrid) Workshop on Air Quality and Health in Bulgaria
This workshop aimed to together a broad range of regional stakeholders (incl. researchers, healthcare practitioners, professional societies, national and regional non-profit groups, bi- and multi-lateral organizations, federal and local government agencies, ministries, and research institutes) across Bulgaria and Europe are interested in building and using evidence on the health effects of air pollution.
The workshop was organized jointly by the Health Effects Institute (HEI), USA, and the Medical University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The workshop planning committee included Dr. Angel Dzhambov (Medical University of Plovdiv), Dr. Reneta Dimitrova MD (Sofia University, “St. Kliment Ohridski”), and Mr. Ivaylo Hlebarov (Za Zemiata), Dr. Dima Tsanova (Medical University of Pleven) and Dr. Pallavi Pant (HEI).
The workshop was open to the public and was hosted at the Medical University of Plovdiv in person and via Zoom. Simultaneous translation was available in English and Bulgarian.
