Call for nominations to HEI Research Committee
The Health Effects Institute (HEI) is seeking to nominate experts to serve on its Research Committee. This important HEI Committee is composed of leading independent scientists who typically serve two 4-year terms. The Committee is responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing HEI’s research program, which provides high-quality, impartial, and relevant science on the health effects of air pollution.
HEI periodically reaches out to the broader science, sponsor, and stakeholder communities for suggested nominees to fill regularly occurring vacancies and currently is seeking up to four scientists who have expertise among the following fields:
- Biostatistics
- Clinical Medicine
- Epidemiology
- Environmental Justice
- Exposure Assessment
- Emissions Characterization
- Chemical Transport Modeling
- Atmospheric Chemistry
HEI especially encourages nominations from currently under-represented communities. Familiarity with air pollution research is a key attribute for most but not all nominees. Please click here to submit your nominations no later than Friday, June 4, 2021.
If you have any questions or comments about the Committee, please email science-admin@healtheffects.org.
