Brussels meeting on air pollution and health
2023
On behalf of HEI, the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology (ISEE), we are pleased to announce a May 24, 2023 meeting to be held in Brussels, Belgium.
The aim of this meeting is to discuss the recently proposed revisions to the European Union's Ambient Air Quality Directive (AAQD), its strengths and weaknesses, identify remaining challenges and explore additional policy options. A number of important scientific and policy questions will be discussed such as health effects at low levels of exposure, the relative contributions of different sources or constituents, and best practice examples of successful air quality interventions. We hope that you can join us at this key forum.
