Nikola Sobot

Nikola Sobot joined HEI in April 2024 as Director of Development. He leads and builds the HEI development department, creating strategic fundraising initiatives and driving growth. Nikola is identifying new funding opportunities, including major gifts, government grants, individual giving, corporate partnerships, international fundraising, and stakeholders through research and networking.

Prior to joining HEI, Nikola worked on developing partnerships with investors and asset owners to create Sustainable Financial Systems. Nikola held executive roles within several international NGOs including New Energy Nexus, World Resources Institute, and UN Principles for Responsible Investment. He was an advisor at the United Nations in New York and worked at the European Parliament.

Nikola holds an MA in International Development from University of Trento, Italy, and Regensburg University, Germany. He also holds the title of Diplomatic Attaché.

Nikola is supporting several charities for children with special needs.
