Mychal Johnson

Mychal Johnson is a co-founding member of South Bronx Unite, a community-based advocacy organization for environmental justice in the South Bronx. He serves on several boards, including the Mott Haven-Port Morris Community Land Stewards, the NYC Community Land Initiative (NYCCLI), the NYC Waterfront Management Advisory Board, and the Bronx Council for Environmental Quality. He advocates for Environmental, Social, Racial, and Economic Justice. His advocacy and organizing include land for the public good to generate plans emphasizing community control to ensure quality-of-life-enhancing measures without gentrification in Environmental Justice communities.
